Minutes of meeting at Victoria Cottage, Portree

Wednesday 18^th April 2007 at 10.30am 

Present:

Colin Hutchings, Mike Dunworth, Joan Turkington, Una MacLeod & John Holt (with Shonagh Strachan in attendance) 

1. Apologies:  Nora Warby, Mike Taylor

 

2. Minutes:  These were approved by Mike Dunworth and seconded by John Holt

 

3. Matters Arising:
1. Portree regeneration:  action: by anyone available.
2. Hand held computer:  action:  Shonagh - email Julia to get this.
3. Ardvasar Hotel:  work is in progress
4. Broadford Hotel:  action:  Julia to view this on Friday 11^th May.
5. Broadford Toilets:  co op are taking over Sutherlands Garage and it was suggested that the opportunity be taken to push for disabled toilets in the refurbishment of the co op.
6. Edinbane community garden:  Full discussion took place regarding the community garden and the total cost of the project (approx £80,000)  Joan has been asked by Roddy Gillies to pass on any information that the access panel has regarding the project in order that he can look into the matter.  action:  by Julia  -  Joan requires confirmation regarding passing on information to Roddy Gillies of the Housing Association.
7. Skeabost Hotel:  a)Toilet signs are not clear.  b)Gents toilet door and room are far too small as are the ladies.  Action: Julia to contact Ruth and arrange to view the facilities with another member of the Panel.
8. Sconser Ferry Terminal:  action: this is ongoing
9. Website: no information as Mike not in attendance

 

AOB:

1. Awards for All:  Joan has received the application pack and gave it to Mike Dunworth.  Agreed:  to be reviewed at next meeting.
2. Mike Dunworth confirmed that he would be attending a funding information event held by the CVO.
