Mike Taylor welcomed Ina Blane as a new
member and introduced her to the group.

- Disability toilet at Armadale
Castle. Ongoing.
Portree Regeneration Plan – Liz
had tried to contact Andy Butler but was told he no longer worked for
the council and was left holding while waiting for someone else to attend. Action: Liz will try to contact
someone else that can deal with the situation.
- Finance – Peter said that
we have £400 left in the bank which should be enough to pay for travelling
expenses until we get the grant from Highland Council. Action:
Liz will contact Highland council to find out when we can expect to
receive the funding
- Hand held computer – Liz
had found software on the internet so will forward details to Julia. Action: Liz to forward details
of software to Julia
- Portree toilets - complete
- Portree Chemist shop door
- complete
- Tigh na Drochaid dropped kerb
– complete
- Armadale Hotel – Julia has
finished the report and Liz will check it and make a copy.
- Broadford Hotel – a letter
had been received asking for further information. Liz phoned to speak
to the manager and will try and arrange for someone to call to explain
the problems.
- Broadford toilets – complete.
- Edinbane Community Garden
– nothing further heard but some members of the committee had called
to see the garden and agreed that disability access was very difficult.
- SDEF funding – spending
plan was sent to Stirling and we are awaiting their approval.
- Portree Gymnasium – Liz
has sent letters to the three businesses involved and is awaiting replies.
- Ayr Access Panel – ongoing. Action: Liz to write to Ayr Access
Panel with our approval of their booklet.
- AOB:
- Raasay toilets are not suitable
for disabled – Action:
Liz to contact ferry terminal to find out who is responsible
- It was agreed that meetings
for 2007 will be held on Wednesdays and John Holt asked if we could
arrange them not to coincide with the Chest Heart and Stroke Club so
that he would be able to attend.
