MATTERS ARISING
- Portree Regeneration (PAAC) – Once new Committee have been appointed Colin to contact. O/S
- Ardvasar Hotel - Una o/s problem step. O/S
- Broadford Hotel – Priorities to be updated. Otherwise complete- Action - 2007/2008
- Broadford Co-op. No information re Planning Action: Dec 2007/2008
- Broadford Toilets/Highland Council – Jim Tolmie and Mark Crowe refer – O/S
- Edinbane Comm. Garden – Action : Invite Alistair Danter to meeting on 20 November/Joan to send letter
- Skeabost Hotel - Mike and Julia to visit some time. Details to be arranged.
- Sconser Ferry Terminal toilets – Action: MT visited – no facilities for disabled; metal barrier could be removed. Email: H Fraser and Ian Renwick
- General Funding Highland council to be sent report on their input of £1250 (6 and 12 monthly) Liz to advise of content.

- Radar keys – Proof of need, sign form, outwith S&L. the keys (£3.00 each ) Keith Robertson (SDEF) said they should be free for registered disabled persons.
- It was stated that Kyleakin Primary school toilet was being used as a store – Education Dept to be contacted. Action: Place on HOLD
- Public liability insurance – Action: Mike Dunworth (O/S)
- Transerv – letter from CH (via Joan) re Broadford – Thanks.
- Training by Julia Rudram in Module form –JR to circulate Modules for Training. Action: Nominations: Colin, Joan, Mike T, Nicola, Paddy, John, Liz, Nora
ACTIONS OUTSTANDING
- Surveys - Marketing surveys to be decided upon – i.e. talk thru; talk thru or total report – Costings to be investigated via other Access Panels – Action: O/S - Julia
- Broadford dropped kerbs etc (Una refers) – Action: Check with Transerv re completion
- Druim na Pairc, Portree (TAD) – dropped kerbs Possible from Social Inclusion, John Laing – November Action: Cllr J Laing/AP/TECS
- Skeabost Hotel: a) Toilet signs are not clear. b) Gents toilet door and room are far too small as are the ladies. Limited facilities Action: O/S - Julia and Mike T
- Skeabost Hotel - Also Smugglers Bar fire exit – hazard etc. Action: O/S - Julia and Mike T

- Funding – Awards for All and (Lloyds TSB) –Ongoing to get more funding
- ‘Marketing Access Panel’ Surgeries on Skye and Kyle could be contacted re newsletter/Minutes of Meetings/leaflet drop. Una said she would check this out.
- Alternative accommodation for Panel –The reason for options is due to limited parking for wheelchair users, etc. In the meantime we will use TAD (but keep Victoria Cottage informed) – Action Joan (Ongoing)
- Minutes – Access Panel – to be displayed in each Medical Centre – Action: Una, Joan and Nora (On-Going)
- Gathering Hall, Portree – Toilets are an apology –Action: (Alex McLeod, C/o Administrator, Gathering Hall) Joan - Letter
- Funding – John Holt suggested we try Fund Finder on the web – for capital, stationery etc. each funder gives monies for different items. Action: Check this out. O/S
- Funds – it was suggested that we contact: Round Table, Robertson Homes, Co-op and Jans., as possible outlets for new funds.
- Since meeting - LSHA – Sponsorship £500 Action: (LSHA to be mentioned in our literature) Complete
NEW BUSINESS
- Druim na Pairc – ‘footpaths’ and general roadway in poor condition Action: Trust Housing Association and TECs to review this.
- Kyle Court, Inverness Access Panel O/S
- Patient accommodation – Access - none for disabled ; have to stay elsewhere – at an additional cost Action: O/T Inv. On holiday urge.
- Sleat Medical Centre – access doors
- Portree medical centre – access doors, also cars parked in front of Medical Centre.
- Granary – Disabled toilets – complaint from a visitor Action: Nicola (wheelchair) to visit and report back
- Portree Hospital – upstairs doors not automatic
- Victoria Cottage – inventory on Access Panel Property
- Various emails from other access panels – new important documents – circulate for all to read
- Fishing group – previous email from Brian M Smith (document) to be forwarded to Julia re Planning permission/visit by Brian to meet up with Julia
AOCB
- Ian Renwick advised that the renovation of the toilets on the Green were to cost £230,000 – gasp! We were originally advised of £155,78l !!
- He also advised that the pedestrian crossing would be moved (temporarily) to outside the LEC building – there were dropped kerbs there.
- Kyle Court, Inverness – access – no patient accommodation – to stay elsewhere with disabled access would be at an additional cost. CH to investigate.
- Julia said that she gets a Planning list every week from the Planning Dept. No planning permission is granted without A/P knowledge.
- Colin to contact Inverness AP re Kyle Court problem (Colin has phone number and email address)
- If surveys are carried out then possible donation for services rendered – check this out with other Access Panels
- There are differing degrees of surveys – walk thru, talk thru etc.
There being no further business, the meeting closed at 2.00 pm
NB
Since meeting Ian Renwick advised (via email to Joan) that radar keys would be provided for the Disabled Toilets, at the Green, Portree, when completed in 2008 (Easter)
